Mission Partnerships at Trinity

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8

This is Jesus commissioning his disciples right before he ascended into heaven - now the Gospel goes out through these everyday ordinary folks…into their Jerusalem (their home city/community) AND Judea (home region/state) AND Samaria (geographically close but culturally different) AND to the ends of the earth. Jesus said AND not or. He didn’t ask them ‘do you want to be my witness?’ He declared ‘you will be’ - they have a new identity when the Holy Spirit comes on them. All disciples (then and now) have this identity - this commissioning to go out because of and with Gospel. We all are his witness/telling and showing others who Jesus is in our home, neighborhoods, state and region, and to the ends of the earth.
