The Light Still Shines in the Darkness
“The light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it.” With these words, the Gospel of John (1:5) invites us to see the world around us through what Jesus has done, is doing, and will do. The light shines. Yes, there is darkness around us; the world is held under the control of sin, but where light shines and Jesus reigns, the darkness scatters. In our sermon series “The Light Still Shines in the Darkness,” we will see how Christ reigns in the world around and how he uses us to make the light shine bright in a dark world.
