Our Confirmation ministry finds its origins in the command of Jesus & the mission of the church, "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV) Confirmation is one way we are fulfilling this mission for the Church.  This command from Christ came out of His deep love for us. It is out of that love of Christ that we in turn love our children. We desire to see that faith given to them by the working of the Holy Spirit in their baptism fanned into a faith that continues to grow and draw others into the Kingdom of God.  Confirmation helps fulfill our mission and vision by structuring the ministry around gathering, growing, serving, and going to make disciples of Jesus Christ.
